Our flock of ewes is a blend of L'arrivee, Kreddig, Avery and Destiny Creek lines, as well as the inclusion of two American bred rams. All of our ewes have excellent hair coats. They are nice thick ewes with good length to them. Our ewes reach a mature weight of 150 to190 pounds - small enough to handle easily, but large enough to produce good butcher lambs.
A Katahdin ewe is more than a sheep that sheds her coat in the spring. We expect all of our ewes to lamb and raise twins or triplets without assistance. The lambs they produce should make market weight by fall on grass. We cull anything that does not perform up to our high standards.
